Dr. Dre is working on new music for Grand Theft Auto with rockstar

Dr. Dre is making new music for Grand Theft Auto??

Dr. Dre is working on new music for Grand Theft Auto, according to Snoop Dogg, who is always a delight to cover, especially when he's having massive streaming failures or yelling at Bill Gates. Some of these tunes will include Snoop Dogg, however it's unclear whether the GTA project in question is for GTA 6, a GTA Online addition, or anything related to the GTA Trilogy, which will be released next month.

"I know he's doing some incredible fucking music," says the narrator "When asked about his close friend's moves, Snoop remarked. "And some of his songs is linked to the upcoming Grand Theft Auto game. So I believe that'll be how his music will be released: through the GTA video game."

Dr. Dre gave the aforementioned comment in answer to queries about Detox, his long-awaited follow-up to his 2015 album Compton. Given Snoop's words—"that will be the manner that his music will be published"—it's easy to infer that Detox will be released through GTA Online, just like other artists' albums have been released through Fortnite. Again, this is just conjecture. Neither Dr. Dre's reps nor Rockstar have responded to Rolling Stone's request for comment.

The less intriguing option is that Dr. Dre is simply recording contributions to GTA Online's upcoming "extended and upgraded" edition, which will be released in early 2022 on new-gen consoles. Perhaps it was hard to license every song from the original 3D GTA trilogy, thus Rockstar is commissioning brand new music. Perhaps Snoop just revealed that new Dr. Dre music would be included in GTA 6. One of these alternatives is more appealing than the others.
